CALAGUAS
The hidden paradise of the Calaguas Group of Islands is described as pristine, undiscovered and breathtakingly beautiful. Tourism officials say that no one leaves the island without raving about its powder-fine white sand, clean water and unspoiled surroundings, just like Boracay some 30 years ago. Unlike more developed islands, the main island of Calaguas known as Mahabang Buhangin (Long Beach) has no resorts or establishments. The thrill including the two-hour boat ride through the Pacific Ocean is that guests camp under the stars in tents and dine in freshly caught seafood. It is best to visit Calaguas between February to September.
